Young Americans for Liberty at the University of San Diego hosted Mises Institute Senior Scholar Thomas Woods, who spoke on the campus to defend capitalism in a time when government continues to move away from free enterprise.
Woods' most recent book, Meltdown, discusses the timely message of how government intervention in the market is prolonging many of our national economic problems, and that everyone would better off without bailouts and government printing presses churning out more money.
Not only is Dr. Woods a bestselling author of many works, touching on economics, history and religion, but he is also a very congenial and accessible messenger willing to spend time with students to discuss, meet, and greet. That's important, because he speaks for a set of ideas that are unfortunately considered foreign -- if not heretical -- on many university campuses today.
